About
The NEIU Student Government Association (SGA) is the governing body acting on behalf of the student body at all NEIU campuses. The main goals for members of SGA is to lead with integrity, while embracing our diversity to promote an inclusive, cohesive, and unified student body. It is the mission of the SGA to be the voice for all students as a collective, and not individual viewpoints, including our own.
The SGA is composed of 3 distinct agglomerating bodies; the Council of Clubs (12 Reps), Justices(4), and Senate(20 Senators). These groups are led by the Executive Board, which is composed of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Chief of Staff, Communications & Public Relations Director, the IBHE-SAC (Illinois Board of Higher Education Student Advisor Council) Student Representative, and the Student Trustee.
The Council of Clubs is the main body creating, funding, and advocating on behalf of organization life on campus.
